The 2014 GABF Recap – and Winning Boulder Breweries

The 2014 Great American Beer Festival is over, and the hundreds of brewers from around the country have returned home.

Fortunately, whether you were a lucky ticket holder or not, you’ll still get the opportunity to sip on plenty of great Boulder beers that people flocked to at the fest.

Of the 600 breweries that attended the fest, 234 breweries took home a medal in the beer competition. Boulder residents may be happy to learn that five of those awards went to these Boulder breweries:

Upslope Brewing Co. – Bronze for Upslope Brown Ale in the American-Style Brown Ale category

FATE Brewing Co. – Gold for Laimas Kolsch in the German-Style Kolsch category

Shine Brewing Co. – Bronze for Liberation Gluten Free in the Gluten Free Style category

BRU Handbuilt Ales – Silver for Loch in the Scotch Ale category

Avery Brewing Co. – Silver for The Kaiser in the German-Style Dopplebock or Eisbock

But even besides these notable victories, there were still 15 Boulder breweries pouring fantastic beers. In case you missed it, here is what they served:
