Amber Baillie is staff writer for the Academy Spirit, the official base newspaper for the Air Force Academy. Her stories have included coverage of the National Character and Leadership Symposium as well as science, technology, engineering and mathematics outreach and Holocaust remembrance. She grew up in Delta, Colo. and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications. She most enjoys feature writing on the outdoors, wounded warrior efforts and animal outreach. She is employed by the Colorado Springs Gazette.
