Friday is Saint Patty’s Day, so there are parties of all calibers and levels all over Boulder. See our own article about the myriad Irish festivities you can taste this weekend to celebrate, including but not limited to: Kegs and Cabbage at the Boulder Theatre, which boasts the eats and drinks mentioned in its titls, but also live music (speaking of Boulder Theatre, Matisyahu is here on Sunday, you guys! And he’s not sold out as of this writing!! wha!!); Tha Matt Flahewrty Band will be playing a St. Patty’s Day gig over at Under the Sun; a big St. Patty’s Day party at Conor O’Neill’s (natch) with guests Mumbouli; and the Boulderado is having all kinds of drink and other specials of an Irish flavor all day. To name just a few.
Feeling politically charged? Boulder is hosting a mock trial at the Bandshell on Saturday, where we will put Trump on trial for treason. Come at 11am for the mock trial, then march to the courthouse at 11:45. As usual, bring your own protest signs for the march.
Doing their own unique style of protest, Boulder Burlesque is performing a one-night only show, followed by a dance party. The show is called Pussy Grabs Back, and all the burlesque performances will emphasize women’s empowerment in a sexy way. 100% of the proceeds from the show will go to the ACLU.
Have a lucky, festive, and fruitful weekend, Boulder!
