Sure, maybe you think the gorgeous side of Boulder is everything outside your front door — the Flatirons, bike paths, sunrises and sunsets, trails, and open space. You’ll get no argument from us on that one!
Each year, however, Boulder Arts Week proudly and boldly brings you the creative side of Boulder. For seven days, it’s a nonstop celebration of the arts with a schedule of events designed to bring you feasts for the eye, ear, and mind.
Well, it’s coming again this Friday — Boulder Arts Week is ready to run from March 27 to April 4. Are you ready to take a walk on the gorgeous side?
First, you won’t want to miss the Opening Party this Friday from 5-7:30PM at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. It’s 100% free and includes local music, food, and drink to share with friends new and old alike.

Seriously – don’t miss the performance of Stupid F##cking Bird at the Dairy Center on Friday, March 27. It’s an update of Chekov’s “The Seagull.” Mature audiences (note the hash marks). I saw this show in Chicago last year and it’s amazing.
On Saturday, head down to see Musical Rapture with the Boulder Symphony. Tickets are $15 on only $5 for students (whyyyyyy can’t I be a student again?).
On Sunday, support Boulder Valley Schools in your favorite parking lot in town (Whole Foods, of course). They’re performing a Cantabile Sing-in from 2-3PM as part of their instrument drive to provide musical instruments to students who cannot afford them.
