Whether you’re looking to learn more about the brewing process or just get a deeper look into how a brewery works, taking a tour is a great option. To make things even sweeter, these Boulder breweries offer a tour of their facilities for free.

Boulder Beer

Time: Monday through Friday at 2 p.m.; Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m.

Price: Totally free!

What: A 45 minute behind-the-scenes look at the hand-crafted brewing process with plenty of free samples at the end.

Details: Come at least 15 minutes early, and be sure to sign up. Visit their website for more information. There are no reservations, and tours are first come, first served. Tours are limited to 30 people so arrive early to get a spot.

Avery Brewing

Time: Guided tours are Monday through Friday at 4 p.m.; Saturday at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 2 p.m.

What: A one-hour tour with for an engaging look into Avery’s unique craft brewery. Want to elevate your tour experience? They also offer an Exclusive Brewery Tour & Tasting. You’ll also sample four 4 ounce beers through a guided sensory analysis. The cost of this tour is $15 per person.

Upslope Brewing

Time: Tours at the Flatiron location are every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tours at the Lee Hill location are on every Friday and Saturday at 4 p.m.

What: Join Lefthand’s talented beer-tenders for a look into their brew house, bottling hall, and cellar.

Details: Make a reservation for the tour online since space is limited. Tours are approximately one hour. Tours include 45 minutes of standing and walking, including a stair case, but there is alternative routes with notice. Visit their website for more information.
