Ready to get your burger on?
Well then, it’s time to head to Reuben’s Burger Bistro, located just off the Pearl Street Mall in Downtown Boulder. You’ll find it tucked away on the corner of Broadway and Walnut Street on the southeast corner, and you can come through the door anytime after 11:30AM, seven days a week.
Reuben’s is a local favorite for burgers galore and boasts one of the most robust selections of Belgian beers in town. While those are two entirely different things that go together beautifully, let’s begin with the burgers.
There’s a reason that Reuben’s is said by many to have Boulder’s best burgers — there’s something for everyone. From the start, you’re able to order the type of burger that suits your mood: beef, chicken, turkey, veggie, or even buffalo. Each burger comes with Reuben’s signature hand-cut fries (made fresh in-house), but you can opt for a salad, onion rings, or sweet potato fries if you’re in the mood. They create a special Burger of the Month each month, so there’s always a new concoction to try, but the menu itself offers 17 different pre-configured burgers and guests can customize them from there. If you’re a cycling fan, you’re in for a treat at Reuben’s as well: everything on the menu has a fun cycling theme to it, including the names for all of the burgers! Your burger of choice is served on a house-made pretzel roll (delicious), or you can opt for a gluten-free or whole wheat roll if you prefer. (Local’s tip: we love The Giro and The Spoke burgers.)
So what goes great with your Reuben’s burger? In Colorado, that’s a beer. Reuben’s has over 42 beers on tap at any given time and always posts a special selection of seasonal brews on a board above the bar. In the fall, you’ll find a delightful selection of fall-themed, harvest, and pumpkin ales — just as an example. And you’ll never be blindsided by the alcohol content of your tall one here — their beverage menu lists the alcohol content of each beer they stock. Some of those Belgian and craft beers can get pretty stiff (and fast), so be sure to look before you order!
So now, you have a location to partake in both Boulder’s best burgers and a fine selection of beers. You can get in on the cheap, too, at Reuben’s Halfy Hour! From 3-6PM and 9PM until close every Monday Through Friday, they have one of the finest happy hours in town for beer lovers. Whatever you choose on Reuben’s menu, liquid or solid, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Restaurants of any ilk don’t last long in Boulder if they don’t offer both top-notch food and service.
