It’s the weekend once again, Boulder, and there’s a bunch going on today and tomorrow. If you’re down to march in the Women’s march down in Denver tomorrow, here’s everything you need to know (and we’ll see you there).
Hey, but E-Town is having a live radio show taping this weekend that isn’t yet sold out (as of this writing)! This is a rare occurrence, and such a good show, no matter who the musical guests are, but this time the guests are the awesome Beth Hart and John McEuen, so get your tickets immediately!
There are a few events happening throughout our fine city for the inauguration of he that shall not be named, too: Boulder House is having a dance party called Just Be, which is a benefit for Out Boulder County. Just Be encourages you to be yourself, and to dance in a space where, whoever you are, you are safe. Boulder Theatre is having an event as well, called The People’s Inaugural Ball: music and dance will abound (with special guests Hazel Miller and Chris Daniels, among others), but there will also be the opportunity to meet and greet many reps from nonprofits in town that are in need either of volunteers or monetary support. What better way to recognize this particular inauguration than to learn about and help those near us in need?
Note: Your Boulder recognizes that your political preferences may differ. We are free to air ours with respect, just as you are yours.
In the mood for something a little quieter on Friday? Bookcliff Vineyards is starting their monthly wine and cheese series again, this Friday pairing their delicious wines with six different cheeses from Haystack dairy. Speaking of tasting special beverages, Twisted Pine is hosting a tasting of 6 different cellar-aged vintages of Northstar Imperial Porter, each paired with a different course. These tickets are very limited and they go fast, so don’t hesitate to pick yours up now.
Have a great weekend, whatever you do. Stay active, involved, and alert — and be safe. Most importantly, love and be loved.
