Happy hour in Boulder is less a discount and more a lifestyle bridge: the gap between the trailhead and dinner. This guide sticks to spots whose deals we could verify on their own menus in 2026. Times change fast, so treat the windows below as strong intel, not gospel, and check before you build an evening around one.
Japango
Japango at 1136 Pearl runs happy hour every day from 3 to 6pm, dine-in only. Discounted sushi on the Pearl Street Mall with people-watching included; it remains one of downtown's best afternoon moves.
West End Tavern
The West End at 926 Pearl does weekday happy hour from 3 to 6pm, plus a late-night round Thursday through Saturday from 8 to 10pm. Take it on the roof deck if there's a seat; see our rooftop guide for why.
Jax Fish House
Jax at 928 Pearl runs happy hour every day from 3:30 to 6pm, and Monday stretches it all night. Oysters at happy hour prices are one of Boulder's most civilized traditions.
The Post Chicken & Beer
The Post at 2027 13th Street pours its own Post Brewing beer alongside fried chicken, with happy hour Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 5pm. Short window, high reward.
Avanti Boulder
Avanti at 1401 Pearl runs happy hour Monday through Friday from 2 to 6pm and all day Sunday, which you can take on the rooftop. Seven kitchens means the food side of your happy hour is never a compromise.
Centro Mexican Kitchen
Centro at 950 Pearl gives you happy hour from 2 to 5pm daily, and all day and night on Mondays. One of the best patios in the city, and the margaritas hold their own against anyone's.
Postino WineCafe
Postino at 1468 Pearl keeps it simple: $6 glasses of wine and $6 beer pitchers until 5pm every day, and a $25 bottle-and-bruschetta-board deal Monday and Tuesday nights after 8. It arrived after the first version of this guide and immediately made the list.
Bohemian Biergarten
The Biergarten at 2017 13th runs happy hour Monday through Friday, 3 to 6pm, and Tuesdays bring the $9 liter boot. Czech lager in a loud, friendly hall; bring people you like talking to.
License No. 1
The speakeasy under the Hotel Boulderado now opens Wednesday through Saturday at 6pm, with happy hour from 6 to 7. It trades on one of Boulder's first post-Prohibition liquor licenses and still feels like a secret even though it isn't.
Brasserie TenTen
TenTen at 1011 Walnut closed during the pandemic and came back in 2022, French onion soup and all. It publishes a proper happy hour menu; the bar side is the best seat for it.
The brewery bench
Upslope's Flatiron Park taproom does $5 pints Monday through Wednesday, 4 to 6pm. Twisted Pine at 3201 Walnut keeps a happy hour menu going alongside its 25-plus taps. And the Mountain Sun and Southern Sun run weekly specials rather than a fixed happy hour; the beer is reason enough.
Pour one out for the happy hours we lost since 2015: The Med and its tapas deals closed in 2020, Tahona's tequila list is gone, and Under the Sun served its last pint in 2024. The survivors above carry the torch just fine.
