Rattlesnakes, nature journaling, and newcomers’ hikes… oh my! The City of Boulder’s acclaimed Natural Selections series has a variety of programs on deck for you and your family this summer. All are open to the public and absolutely free. Yes, you read that right – FREE.
To be clear, this is not your run-of-the-mill educational series. Be prepared to look, listen, touch, and move on Boulder’s beautiful trails. Each program is interactive, hands-on, and led by an experienced naturalist. With topics ranging from wildlife to local history, there’s something for everyone. You’ll leave with a greater understanding and renewed appreciation for our city and its open space.
Natural Selections is an ongoing, year-round series that is supported by the City of Boulder sales tax. Every time you shop in Boulder, you’re making it possible for Open Space and Mountain Parks to offer these programs to the community free of charge.
If you’re a teacher, scout leader, or member of any other community group and would like a custom program for your group, you may submit a request online.
