The Boulder Passport: Your Ticket to 2-for-1 Drinks all Summer

boulder passport

Passports represent a lot in a person’s life. They signify world travel (or the hopes of eventually doing so), adventure, and one less document you have to provide for your I-9 form. But there’s a new passport in town and its your gateway to deals at some of the hottest taprooms, bars, and restaurants in Boulder.

Sure, it’s not exactly a legal form of identification and, yes, it’s not really even issued by the government, but it’s the only passport that’s going to score you two-for-one dirnk specials all summer.

I thought that might get your attention.

The Boulder Passport is an offshoot of the wildly popular Denver Passport, which launched last summer to a lot of enthusiasm. Founders Casey Berry of Imbibe Denver and PJ Hoberman of Denver Off the Wagon developed the Denver Passport as a way for city inhabitants to get out and explore the city and it was so successful that they’ve launched three more locations: Boulder, Fort Collins, and Brooklyn (yeah, New York).

How does the Boulder Passport work? It’s easy, passport owners flash their passport when they get into a participating bar or restaurant and get a 2 for 1 drink special. Each bar has a different deal, so you can sip and savor your way all around Boulder County.

What’s the best part about the Boulder Passport? If you purchase before June 1st, it’s only $10. After June 1st, it’s still only $20, so you’ll make your money back after just a few visits to the places listed in the Boulder Passport. The passport is valid after Memorial Day and runs through Labor Day weekend, so get the most of your summer with these deals.

Here’s a list of the places you can visit with the passport:
