Forbes just named Boulder the best place to start a business in 2015. And we have the amazingly supportive startup ecosystem in this city to thank for the honor.
The Boulder startup scene has always had an amazing ethic of ‘give first’ and ‘just be helpful’ to everyone in and around the community. It’s one of the things that has catapulted Boulder to be one of the biggest startup towns in the nation.
One of the most unique ways the startup community has grown and given back is through Boulder Startup Week. All the events are free and open to everyone, and it’s happening next week, May 11-15th.
The Startup Week concept has become a worldwide phenomenon. You may not know, however, that the whole thing started right here in Boulder, thanks to community event organizer Andrew Hyde (Andrew also started Ignite Boulder and TEDxBoulder).
So if over 120 events ranging from keynotes to meetups with over 220 participating startups isn’t enough, come out to celebrate Boulder as a leader in the global startup community. I took a look at the schedule and here are some attractions:
