Formerly Called the Dugout Cleaners

Vincent Ellwood Sr. started the current Boulder Cleaners, formally Dugout Cleaners, in 1923 on the University Hill in Boulder. Mr. Ellwood Sr. ran the Dugout Cleaners with the help of his two sons, Vincent Ellwood Jr. and William Ellwood. In the mid 1970's, the senior Mr. Ellwood retired and sold the business to his two sons, Vincent and William. Vincent and Bill ran the business until the early 1990's when a decision was made to split the business into two separate business, one being Boulder Cleaners.
