Boulder: an artistic communitySupport and celebration for arts and hobbies in Boulder are all over town, and not just during Boulder arts week (Which normally happens in April). Every week is Arts and Hobbies Week in Boulder. We’ve got almost a gallery or art museum or performance space on every corner, and if you’ve seen any of Your Boulder’s weekend articles, you’ll see just how much live music we’ve got playing any given day (spoiler alert: it ain’t just the weekends). Open Studios is another event that celebrates the visual arts and hobbies in Boulder, each October. Download or snag a paper version of the Open Studios map, and you can make an entire weekend of going around to multitudes of artists’ working studios, to see just how they do their thing, and can buy some of their work as well. In recent years, Open Studios has expanded to three weekends instead of the inaugural one.
