For Love of Horror Symposium

A three-day symposium exploring the love of horror and its difficulties, the symposium begins with a film showing of Mariama Diallo’s 2022 film, Master, on Thursday and continues Friday with four panels with invited speakers and some CU campus presenters discussing the ways in which horror fascinates, scares, and perplexes them. Intersecting with Folklore studies, Queer studies, Gender studies, Media studies, History, Jewish studies, and Black studies, this symposium creates space for exploratory learning and critical analysis in multiform. Saturday is a closed, invite-only session to workshop further ideas and possible collaborations moving forward.
