Guest Artist Recital: Eunsun Jung, Gayageum and Seojin Kim, Percussion

Award-winning gayageum virtuoso Eunsun “Sunny” Jung and distinguished Korean traditional percussionist Seojin Kim join forces for "Sounding Korean Music," a dynamic program showcasing the breadth of Korean traditional music. A graduate of Seoul National University, Jung has performed at the Kennedy Center, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Symphony Space, bringing the gayageum to audiences across Europe, Asia and the United States. Kim, a graduate of the Korea National University of Arts with extensive experience at the National Gugak Center and National Gugak Orchestra, has performed and taught throughout Asia and North America. Together, they explore the refined lyricism of pungnyu, the rhythmic vitality and improvisatory spirit of sanjo and the expanding possibilities of newly composed works.
