MG Evangelista: Brakhage Center Lunch Series

Artists share insights into their practices and works in progress. November 9, 2026 from 12:30-1:30 PM The Brakhage Center, ATLAS 311 Lunches welcome, beverages provided MG Evangelista is a writer-director whose work spans narrative, branded, and documentary filmmaking, exploring themes of identity, power, and love. With a BFA in Visual Arts from the University of California, San Diego, Evangelista blends evocative imagery and drama with touches of levity. Their debut feature film, Burning Well, currently in development, has been supported by SFFILM Rainin, Tribeca, Array, the Torino Feature Film Lab and Film Independent’s Screenwriting Lab and Fast Track. The feature is based on their award-winning short film Fran This Summer playing in over thirty festivals including the Sundance Film Festival.
