Molecular Containers: From Basic Science to Biomedical Applications In this talk I will present our work on the preparation and use of macrocyclic and acyclic CB[n] in biologically relevant applications. For example, I will discuss the use of acyclic CB[n] as a solubilizing excipient for insoluble drugs, as an in vivo reversal agent for neuromuscular block and drugs of abuse (e.g. methamphetamine, fentanyl), and our recent discovery of ultrahigh affinity sulfated pillararenes and their applications.
