Speaker: Ines Zucker, Associate Professor, Tel Aviv University Seminar: Tiny Bubbles, Big Environmental Questions: From Nanobubble Transport to Reactive Water Treatment Abstract: Nanobubbles are increasingly explored for environmental applications, yet many fundamental questions remain regarding how they move, persist, and react in complex aqueous systems. In this seminar, I will first introduce our broader work in environmental nanotechnology and the questions that led us to investigate gas–water interfaces as functional components of water treatment processes. I will then focus on two complementary aspects of nanobubble behavior: their transport through porous media and their chemical reactivity. We investigate how porous-media properties, solution chemistry, and nanobubble characteristics determine whether nanobubbles are transported or retained, and how these interactions may control their delivery in environmental systems. I will also discuss ozone nanobubbles as a reactive platfo...
