It’s possible that Khaled Hosseini’s first two books are sitting on your bookshelf. The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Sunswere both met with both critical and popular acclaim, landing the writer on the New York Times Bestsellers List. He’ll be in Boulder next week on Thursday, June 27, to discuss and sign his new book, And the Mountains Echoed.
Since Hosseini is a well-known author and sure to attract quite the Front Range crowd, the event will be sponsored by the Boulder Bookstore but held at the First Congregational Church (located at 1128 Pine Street). The event begins at 7:30PM, but having been to some of the more popular events at this venue, I recommend you arrive early and secure your spot. This will be a voucher event and vouchers cost $9.75 to attend. This allows you to receive $9.75 off the purchase of And the Mountains Echoed as well.
There’s also a special note on the even page over on the website for the Boulder Bookstore: “Mr. Hosseini will sign and personalize as many books as you like, as long as you have at least one copy of And the Mountains Echoed.” So, if you’re yearning for an autograph on your well-read copies of the author’s other books, bring them along and present them with your copy of his new book. This is a pretty righteous move by the author!
Complete event details can be found on the Boulder Bookstore website, including a full description on Hosseini’s new book.
