As you may know, we here at Your Boulder have “adopted” Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center as our first local non-profit to lend a helping hand. After educating you about many of the issues that Greenwood helps address, it’s time to help them!
As a reminder, Greenwood is not a government agency, nor does it receive funding from national wildlife organizations. Funding for the essential local services Greenwood provides depends on the generosity of businesses and private citizens.
I’m talking about you … and that’s a good thing.
That’s because you can help out and get some cool benefits out of doing so. While you can always donate at any time to help Greenwood help displaced critters, here are three ways that may be even more appealing at this critical time of year for funding future operations.
6th Annual Wild Night for Wildlife
Here’s your change to go nuts at Greenwood’s annual gala, the Wild Night for Wild Life, which is happening Friday, September 26th. When we say “wild” we’re talking an open bar (and also the animals, of course).
Here’s what your ticket / donation buys you:
- Silent auction offering something for everyone
- Open bar offering craft beers and wine
- Buffet dinner from one of the area’s best caterers
- Exhilarating live auction led by Don Martin
- Heartwarming presentation that gives you the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of injured and orphaned wildlife

Also, a table for eight guests can be purchased in advance for $650. If you have items to donate for the auction, each item valued at $250 or more will get you one reserved seat at the event.

This may well be the most fun way to help. Greenwood has partnered with Benefit Wines to produce a collection of tasty vino. And every bottle you buy helps Greenwood keep the doors open to injured and orphaned wildlife from the Boulder area.
Really, how can you resist? With selections including Red Fox Malbec, Pine Squirrel Pinot Noir, and Chickadee Chardonnay, you’re bound to find a wine you love. There are even a Collector’s Package and a Sampler collection that let you repopulate the wine cooler while supporting a worthy cause.
