It reminds me of those historical fiction novels I’m so fond of, mostly set in turn-of-the-20th-century England. Aristocracy, family legacy, heirs — the stuff any good PBS series like Downton Abbey is made from. Along with it, the race to “register” one’s progeny for schools, and as close to birth as possible.
Seriously — everyone’s looking for the best possible educational opportunities for their kids and here in Boulder, we have some fantastic education providers outside of the public school system ready to offer just that.
If you’ve had — or will have — a little one join your family, you might want to dash down to the Daily Camera’s School Choice Fair on January 8. Here, you can meet with folks representing 21 education providers across a wide range of educational styles and discliplines and see where your little apple might fit in best. The schools included cater to children of all ages ranging from preschool to high school which makes it a great event for families new to Boulder to check out options outside of public schools.
The event will be held at Millennium Harvest House (1345 28th Street) from 3:30-6:30PM on January 8 and is completely free to the public. You can view the online event flier here.
So, come on down and learn about Boulder’s array of education providers. While none of us might be part of the aristocracy, we sure can give our kids the best possible opportunity to learn in an environment where they’ll thrive.
