Crunch Gym: Boulder
Crunch Gym was just about to open in Boulder before the quarantine swept the state, and so their grand opening was stopped in its tracks. But that hasn’t stopped Crunch’s hype machine from cranking full steam, and making their Boulder fitness presence known, stay-at-home be darned.
Live: Crunch Gym’s Facebook Live game is on point, with guided workouts popping up daily. Follow the Crunch Boulder page to get workouts led by Crunch’s fitness experts, tailored to their Boulder followers.
Membership deals: Crunch Boulder’s brand new shiny gym is finished and ready to open as soon as Boulder opens up again—it’s on 30th near the King Soopers, and it’s looking super state of the art. Crunch isn’t letting us Boulderites forget about it, either—they’re running membership deals you can’t refuse, so that when the gym opens, they’ll be ready for us with open doors and enthusiasm (and we won’t be breaking the bank).
Curbside Delivery: Pubs
Since we can’t go hang out at our favorite Boulder pubs, our favorite Boulder pubs are bringing their pub grub & drinks out to the curb to us. With all social distancing and sterilization protocols in place, of course.
BackCountry Pizza: so much of Boulder made Backcountry Pizza their home away from home when it was open, and according to them, we’re still #inthistogether as they offer safe curbside pickup and safe, sanitary delivery, of their stellar pizzas, delicious pub grub, and their full bottles and cans which have temporarily taken the place of their long line of taps. Keep supporting BCP with your orders, so they can open back up as soon as is safe.
Post Brewing: Post Brewing Co. has stepped up to the plate, with their full menu available for curbside delivery, as well as all their beer, wine, and buckets of cocktails, all for a ridiculously reasonable price. They’ve got growlers, crowlers, and something called Take and Bake, that you can pick up and freeze, or cook yourself for full family fare. Post also has a meal donation drive going on right now, to benefit our front line workers, which is worth looking at and joining in.
World Famous Dark Horse: some of the best burgers in Boulder and top notch drink options, the old school Boulder icon, Dark Horse, has been a world famous Boulder institution since 1975. They’re not going to let a little pandemic get them down: they’re offering curbside pickup 12-8pm every Tuesday through Sunday while the city is closed down.
Free Range Dairy
Free Range Dairy is still bustling busily to supply all your Boulder cultural and artistic needs, virtually. This weekend’s highlights include:
Boulder Opera’s Gato Con Botas: a family-friendly opera presented online, this was a local live hit recently, and Boulder Opera is bringing it back for your virtual enjoyment.
Boulder’s Story Slam: the stellar storytelling event of the century is still happening in Boulder this weekend. It’s just that it’s online instead of live.
Artist Chats will be spanning across the weekdays and weekends, with Ana Maria Hernando & Bud Shark both gracing Free Range Dairy’s screens on the 1st. Also the various and excellent digital art exhibitions up at the newly virtual Dairy continue apace. Check the Free Range Dairy website for all the details on these and more!
EFAA (Emergency Family Assistance Association) has been a longstanding help for Boulderites in need, whether it’s utilities, rent assistance, food, or any number of other boosts for those who need it. With the coronavirus happening now, some of EFAA’s normal operating procedures have modified somewhat, but they’re still going strong, helping anyone in Boulder who’s in need of emergency assistance (and there are quite a few more now than normally, aren’t there). Contact EFAA if you’re in need of financial or food assistance, whether you’re right in town or father out in East Boulder County.
