Did you know that TEDxBoulder is one of the largest ticketed TED-branded events in the world? Rumor has it that we rank right behind a big shindig in Northern California. The attendance at the Boulder event surpasses even that of the annual TED conference. Not too shabby for a town only 25 square miles, right?
Well, it’s that time of year again — tickets are now on sale for TEDxBoulder 2013! The event sells out each and every year. This year, the event returns to Macky Auditorium over at CU and there’s one pre-event to put on your radar. Here’s a summary of both of the events on this year’s TEDxBoulder calendar, what to expect at each, and how to score tickets for one or both events:
- August 22: TEDxBoulder Beta at eTown Hall — Join the TEDxBoulder team for an event sponsored by Applied Trust, an evening filled with music, mingling, and your first glimpse at this year’s speaker lineup. Nicole Atkins and Blake Brown will be performing. Tickets will go on sale July 29 and the $15 ticket price will be donated to The Black Knights – Fairview High School’s FIRST Robotics team. - September 21: TEDxBoulder 2013 — This year’s event runs from 5PM to 9PM on Saturday, September 21 at Macky Auditorium on the CU campus. Brace yourself for this year’s theme: Fear and Loathing! Speakers and performers alike will take the Macky stage. During intermission, join us outside for food and refreshments. Inside, prepare to have your mind blown by ideas worth spreading. Tickets range from $30 to $100 for guaranteed front row seating. Purchase your tickets here.
