Want to make Your Boulder…YOUR Boulder? Well, we’re looking for folks just like you.
We publish five days a week and are always on the lookout for what’s cool and new (or even not so new but completely cool). That means we’re asking for your submissions to Your Boulder. There are three ways to submit content to us if you’ve got a hankerin’ to share your news.
If you have a keyboard and a story to tell, we just might want to hear it. If you’d like to write something for Your Boulder, please send your pitch to email@example.com and include the following:
- Your name
- Your pitch – Please include topic and what you’ll cover in the post (you can send up to 3 pitches per email)
- Links to your social media presences
- Links to any writing samples you have on other sites
Please do not send us completed posts — we’ll let you know what we’d like for you to write. Before submitting, please search our archives so you’re not submitting a pitch for something we’re already written about (we’ve written 181 post and counting!). And yes — there’s cash money to be had. We pay $30 per standard 400-500 word post and $50 for feature-length articles (interviews, etc.) that include original photography (700-1000 words).
Event and Topic Submissions
Maybe you’re not a writer but you have an idea or event that you think the Your Boulder writers should cover. We’d love to hear it! Send us the following and remember — the more details we have, the better chance you have of getting our attention.
- Your name
- Event or topic details (location, date, time, cool facts)
- Contact information
For events, we’d love at least to weeks lead time so we can get a post prepared and shared. You can send these ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have a photo to share? We’d love to help you share it. Simply head on over to the Your Boulder Facebook page and post it there. We’ll cross-share the best into our newsfeed so all of Your Boulder’s 10,000+ fans can see your keen eye for all that is Boulder!
