A long-time mainstay on the downtown Boulder coffee scene, The Laughing Goat is a “coffice” (coffee shop/office) mainstay for Boulderites. Not only is it an ideal place to catch up with friends over whatever choice of brew, it consistently hosts some of Boulder’s most popular and talented musicians during the evenings throughout the week. Oh, and did we mention the free WiFi?
The coffee is always hot and fresh and brewed by talented baristas who are ready to make it your way. For the health-conscious, they offer a wide variety of alternative milks like soy, almond, and rice as well. It’s also a great destination for those who follow a gluten-free lifestyle in Boulder. They always have a wide variety of gluten-free baked goods (including cupcakes!) so you can get your nosh on and stick to your dietary restrictions.
Need a more substantial snack? The Laughing Goat has some tasty paninis on the menu, ranging from vegetarian options to meat-filled treats. There are also breakfast Breggos and burritos throughout the week and we recommend showing up early for breakfast and lunch, as their food is tasty and they tend to sell-out of the day’s fresh-made items quickly.
In the evenings throughout the week, the lights dim down around 7PM and various acoustic artists take the back stage. You can grab a beer or glass of wine and enjoy conversation with friends while serenaded by some of Boulder’s finest local musical talent. Admission is always free, but there’s always a donation jar for the artist. Go ahead — throw in a five spot. We’ll guarantee the performer is worth it!
