Boulder's live music venues are spread across the city: Macky Auditorium on the CU campus, the Fox Theatre on University Hill, the Boulder Theater and eTown Hall downtown, and Chautauqua Auditorium out on Baseline Road. Each one handles tickets, access and parking in its own way, so it's worth checking the details for the room you're actually headed to.
Macky Auditorium
Macky is at 1595 Pleasant Street on the CU campus. Different presenters book the hall, so advance tickets come from the event presenter or the ticket vendor assigned to that event. Start from the listing for your show and buy where it sends you. The hall's namesake has his own story, which we cover in our piece on Andrew J. Macky.
Seating and access
Wheelchair spaces are on the main floor, with companion seats available. The balcony and loge levels don't have wheelchair spaces, and the west-lobby elevator goes only as far as Loge I, with Loge II up stairs beyond that. There's a ramp at the front of the building, west of the main entrance, and guests who can't walk far can be dropped off there. If an accommodation changes which seat will work for you, ask before you buy rather than after. ASL interpretation or captioning needs at least seven days' notice. Parking and getting there
Parking around Macky is limited and fees usually apply, and the venue's parking page is the current word on it.
- Grandview, Euclid and Folsom are the garages the venue lists.
- Lot 380 is the accessible event parking, and a state-issued disability parking placard is required to use the designated accessible spaces, per the accessibility page, though availability is the thing to watch on a full night.
- Rideshare drivers can reach the front door for pickup and drop-off.
If you're coming by bus, the RTD trip planner takes an origin, a destination and a date and time, and you can set it to Arrive By or Depart At. Run the ride home as its own separate trip instead of assuming the return mirrors the way there.
Eating first
Macky's where to eat and stay page points visitors toward The Hill and Pearl Street, and it recommends reserving a table. On The Hill, The Sink at 1165 13th Street does burgers and pizza, and Illegal Pete's at 1124 13th Street keeps current menu and hours on its own location page. Book the table around the show's actual start time.
Fox Theatre
The Fox is at 1135 13th Street on University Hill, close to the same restaurants. Event listings run through Z2 Entertainment, and the official sellers are AXS and TIXR, reached through the official event page for your show. Formats change from night to night, so read that event's own notes on age restrictions, seating and bags rather than assuming last time's setup holds.

Boulder Theater
The Boulder Theater is downtown, at 2032 14th Street. The current calendar lives on that venue page, and the official Z2 listing for a given night sends you to the authorized seller for that specific show, either AXS or TIXR, the same pair that handles the Fox. For parking, the city's city parking garages page lists the 15th & Pearl garage at 1500 Pearl Street, along with current garage and repair notices, and it carries the city's own map and instructions. Check it before you drive in, since what's open can change.

eTown Hall
eTown Hall is at 1535 Spruce Street, and the program mixes concerts with radio tapings, so on some nights you're part of a recording. The default is seated with first-come seating, though individual events can differ, so check the format on the ticket page for the night you're going. The building entrance is step free and the elevator reaches the public spaces. There's no dedicated venue parking lot; for an alternative, the city's city parking garages page lists the 15th & Pearl garage at 1500 Pearl Street. Chautauqua Auditorium
Chautauqua Auditorium is an indoor venue at 900 Baseline Road, built in 1898 and fully enclosed, though it doesn't behave like a modern indoor room. There's no conventional heating or air conditioning. Evaporative coolers and fans do the work, and the temperature inside follows whatever it's doing outside, so a cool evening reaches your seat and a hot afternoon does the same. Dress for the forecast.
