Boulder County's Elections Division is testing ballots and voting equipment for the 2026 General Election on Tuesday, Sept. 29, and members of the public may attend. Space is limited, so the county is asking people to RSVP by Monday, Sept. 28.
What the test covers
According to the county, the test checks that the equipment correctly tabulates votes. Every ballot type and style is checked for printing and for how the scanners read it, and the scanners' settings are checked to confirm they're calibrated for the ballots. The county says it plans to post documentation and results online after testing.
When and where
- Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to about 5 p.m. The county notes the end time is approximate.
- If more time is needed, testing continues Wednesday starting at 10 a.m. and runs until it's finished.
- Ballot Processing Center, 1750 33rd Street, Boulder.
