Beyond Bullet Points: Creating Clear and Engaging Presentations

Effective presentations do more than share information. They help audiences understand, engage with and remember complex ideas. Join Caitlin Charlet, associate teaching professor in Environmental Design, for an interactive workshop exploring practical strategies for creating clearer, more engaging visual presentations. Participants will learn how to improve visual hierarchy, reduce unnecessary text, use images effectively and design slides that complement spoken explanations. Through examples and a hands-on activity, participants will have an opportunity to apply these principles to their own presentations. Participants are encouraged to bring three slides from an existing presentation to work on during the session.
