Tuesday, December 1, 2026
10:00am

As generative AI becomes more common in higher education, everyone is getting more anxious about academic integrity. Is everyone cheating? Are my students cheating? Am I cheating? What is “cheating”? In this talk, we’ll discuss common indicators of potential AI misuse, the limited role of AI detection tools, and practical considerations before reporting a concern. Representatives from Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution (SCCR) will explain the Honor Code process, discuss what information is most helpful when reporting suspected academic misconduct, and share what faculty can expect after a report is submitted. This session is organized in collaboration with the Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution Office.
