Oh, Boulder — you and your hustle and bustle. Christmas is right around the corner and it seems like everyone is running around getting last minute errands done in the light dusting of snow that we got last night.
For many people, Christmas is a day spent in pajamas, with very little thought given to even venturing outside for more than an afternoon run or dog walk. But for others, Christmas Day is a time to get together with friends and celebrate the relationships that the past year has brought into their lives.
But perhaps this year in Boulder has been hectic. You’re ready to call it but you’re not ready to call it and go hungry.
So, where do you go in Boulder for a nice Christmas meal — and cocktail, if so inclined? Well, if your quest for sustenance and celebration is beyond your front door tomorrow, this article is for you in particular. While many Boulder restaurants are closed on Christmas Day, a select few remain open and even offer special meals for those coming in to dine on Christmas. Here is a list of restaurants in Boulder that are open on Christmas Day:
Hotel Boulderado: Every Christmas the Boulderado has a wonderful prime rib buffet on Christmas Day from 12-4 pm. Currently it’s sold out and there is a waitlist.
L’Atelier: This French cuisine restaurant will be open from 5-9 pm.

Yellow Deli: If you’re craving a good sandwich and a fresh salad, this place is open 24 hours on Christmas Day, so wander in when the time feels right.
It should also be noted that most Chinese restaurants are open on Christmas Day so if you have a hankering for something other than a Christmas ham, try giving one of them a call for delivery food.
