4 Restaurants to Pickup Curbside Cuisine This Weekend in Boulder

curbside

The restaurant and bar industry maybe 20% of our economy, but it sure ain’t dead because of the pandemic. From Wed through Sunday people with a backbone are going to work in the service industry, cooking and serving up great local food for you to pickup and enjoy back home and they even do all this with a smile on their faces even if they are hidden under COVID-19 masks. Check out what to order this weekend with our suggestions below.

Pizzaria Di Sopra at The Kitchen Upstairs

The Kitchen restaurant is partly owned by Kimbal Musk, Elon Musk’s brother, and while Elon is defying #stayathome orders by opening up his Tesla factory his brother has to make a living too and this weekend his staff is offering 16″ Neapolitan style pizza from “Upstairs.”

For limited time their wood-fired oven is baking these pies on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for pickup. You could try the Margherita; san marzano tomatoes, basil, fresh mozzarella for $13, Pepperoni; honey, truffle oil, calabrian chili, and fresh mozzarella for $16 or Bianca; pecorino cream, fresh ricotta, arugula, lemon, and shaved parmesan for $15. You are encouraged to reserve your pizza in advance by calling them.

They also offer salads, desserts and cocktails like a Negroni with Prairie Gin, Campari, Sweet Vermouth is $24 and they have a lager from Utica Club and wine.

The Cork and its American Cuisine

They’ve been in Boulder around 50 years, so that means they know what they’re doing if they’ve been in business that long. They have a lunch curbside menu and a dinner curbside menu for you to check out. The lunch menu is only available on Fridays and they take calls after 11am and you can pickup from 11:30am to 1:30pm. The dinner menu is available Wednesday through Sunday and they take calls after 1pm and you can pickup from 4:30 to 7pm.

Might we suggest checking out their Prime Rib Sandwich for $28 or The Cork Burger for $14.7 available for both lunch and dinner time? You could also add an order of asparagus with lemon and oil for $9.95 during dinner time.

You can also learn how they make several cocktails at their Vimeo site if you’re interested.

The Rio Grande Survival Kit

There’s bulk Mexican food “to go” over here. Like maybe you’d like a tray of 12 enchiladas? Chicken is $40, just cheese is $30.00, Crab & Shrimp is $55.00 when available, and Spinach is $40.00 when it comes to enchiladas.

On their online menu you will also find their Rio Quarantine Survival Kits like “Build Your MARG at Home. The Rio Grande will supply everything you need when you order The Rio Classic Marg for $42 or The Big Tex Marg for $48, so you can make your margarita at home!

Shine has Shiny Potions

If you need nutritionally-inspired comfort foods and potions to enhance your immunity look no further than Shine’s curbside pick-up & delivery menu from 4pm to 7pm Wednesday thru Sunday. Shine is 100% gluten free and organic and on the website they say, “Every single thing is made from scratch with a ton of LOVE.”

You might want to take a look at their immunity kits. Here you can get shots of B12, Lypo Spheric Vitamin C, Full Spectrum CBD, House Cultured Beet Kvass, or a Reset Button Potion Shot all priced 6 bucks or less.

Shine has a nice menu of different foods from salads to hummus for healthy fare. Then they have main entrees.  For example, the Grass-fed Local Beef Burger for $15 with Basil Pesto, Mixed Greens, Pickled Red Onion, Fries or Salad, Locally Grown Veggie Burger for $15, Pan Seared Skuna Salmon for $23, Local Mushroom & Miso Ramen Bowl for $15, Local Pork, Jackfruit or Chicken Tacos for 16, and Cappellos Grain Free Fettuccine for $19. Sounds yummy!

So much food and not enough time!

Here are some tips to remember when ordering online for curbside pick-up at these four restaurants:

-Pick up Neopolitan Pizza made straight from the Upstairs wood-oven.

-The Cork has cocktails and hearty food ready for pick-up.

-If you’re planning a margarita party with 10 or less the Rio Grande is ready for you.

-When ordering from Shine don’t forget about their potions.

– Ask about Kids Menus at these establishments.

Have a great weekend, Boulder! Don’t forget to tag the friends you’d like to eat with! P.S. Maintain social distancing 🙂
