Hey Boulder — burlesque anyone? Mmmmmm…Maybe you can’t help it but to stop what you’re doing on a Sunday afternoon when you happen to be channel surfing and you see “Burlesque” with Cher and Christina Aguilera pop on the screen. You turn up the volume, kick the living room rug out of the way, and suddenly, you’re entertaining a career transition to a sassy yet somewhat clothed temptress — sleeping by day, rocking it out by night.
Just me? OK. Just me. Awkward.
Regardless of your future career ambitions, you’re in luck if you’re in Boulder. Burlesque is coming for your enjoyment on the 26th of this month. Handily enough, it’s just over at Boulder’s own 303 Vodka (so it’s stumbling distance for many of you). You won’t want to miss the Cottontail Capers, presented by Camp Wardrobe MalFUNKtion — and tickets are on sale right now. Oh, and we should mention that it’s a “specific attire required” kind of event, so if you’re not feelin’ sexaaaaay, this might not be where you need to be on the 26th.
Here’s everything you need to konw to catch you very own slice of Boulder burlesque action:
- You can check out the Facebook event here. Share it with your friends and help get the word out.
- Buy tickets fom Brown Paper Tickets right here. $20 each or $30 for VIP front row seating (I’ve found that front row is well worth it at burlesque shows).
- So far as that attire goes, here’s the skinny. Per the event page: “Costumes and/or decadent, seductive attire are required. Dress in your sexiest bunny best and party with us after the show, when we invite YOU to express your own wild creative sexy self on stage and dance floor.” (Get your bunny on.)
Now, shake your tail and hop on over to 303 Vodka on the 26th. Doors are at 7:30PM, show starts at 8:30PM, and there’s a rump-shakin’ dance party to follow at 11:30PM.
