Yep. The USA Pro Cycling Challenge is coming back through Boulder again this year. Before the skinny tires even hit the pavement, you have an ongoing chance to support this exciting event. Say it ain’t so!
Alas, I cannot say such. As it is so. Come on down to Rueben’s Burger Bistro on Wednesdays between now and August 20 for Cheers for Gears, a weekly gathering to support the 2014 USA Pro Cycling Challenge.
While details are sparse (c’mon, guys — help the community out with a bit more robust events page than this), here’s what we know:
- 25% of sales go to support the Boulder stage of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge
- There will be giveaways
- Rueben’s is awesome and the food is delish.
Events run from 6 to 8PM. So, grab a friend and head down to enjoy the mysterious nature of this cycling-related gathering together. The good new is you can ride your bike.
The USA Pro Cycling Challenge Boulder Stage will be on August 24 this year. The start line is at 18th and Pearl and the gun goes off at 12 noon for the pro race. Much like the rest of the event details, the Boulder Stage website is way behind on posting things like course map and event info, but bookmark this page and check back often. I’m sure they’ll have details forthcoming to help you and your cycling-loving friends and family around the course and into the action on race day before long. If you’re super antsy for info, check out the main race event website. You can view race maps, information about all seven race stages, and other event details to feed your inner cycling nerd.
