If you’ve never sat in Macky Auditorium on the CU campus, first let me say you’re missing out. It’s a grand hall that envelops both those on stage and in the audience with an overwhelming feeling of privilege. What have I done to deserve to be in a space so grand?
Returning to Macky for yet another year is TEDxBoulder — the 2000-seat, always-sold-out event that brings everyday people accomplishing extraordinary things to a stage to share those thoughts with you. It’s an evening to be inspired, rekindle your creative fires, find hope in humanity (as on some days, that’s a struggle) and hear stories and experiences from your peers and those who will become your peers — now that you know those people walk the earth with you.
So, I dare ask: will you come and dare yourself to think differently, find kindred spirits, and let your spirit soar as you embark on a visual and audible adventure at one of the world’s largest TED-branded events…
Or will you do otherwise?
The choice is yours. But speaking as someone who’s been graced enough to take that stage, feel the floodlights, hear the laughter as both a speaker and an audience member, and meet some of the most extraordinary people I’ve ever met in my life — going definitely has its perks.
