An admitted bibliophile, I’m all about picking up books about destinations. Ones I’m going to, those in my dreams, places I’ve been…they’re all on the shelf. Boulder Book Store always keeps a fresh list of books by local authors. Now you don’t have to just shop local — you can read local as well! There’s also a really cool program run by The Tattered Cover down in Denver called Authors of the Rocky Mountains. They allow local authors, either self-published or published via smaller presses, to place their books in their stores on consignment. It offers greater visibility in a highly trafficked store, and it’s all borne from love for local authors.
