I’ll never forget the sound of Louie Anderson saying, “Peanuts.” This was from one of the first bits of his I ever saw, discussing how he’s begging for one of those negligible bags of peanuts on airplanes. I was a teenager. It made me laugh.
I’m no longer a teenager (thank heavens), but he’s still funny. Well, you can catch Louie Anderson on Thursday at eTown Hall, and tickets to see this comedy legend are a scant $30.
Boulder’s been attracting some pretty solid comedy acts as of late. From yesterday’s announcement about Steven Wright tickets at Chautauqua to recent visits by Anthony Jeselnik and Maria Bamford, it’s evident that Boulder loves to laugh. Louie Anderson’s been at the comedy game for decades, getting his first big break on The Tonight Show with Johhny Carson back in 1984. Ever since, he’s been delighting audiences all over the world.
Known as a “clean comedian,” Anderson’s made appearances in both television and film. He can be seen in episodes of Chicago Hope, Scrubs, and Grace Under Fire and had a role in Eddie Murphy’s “Coming to America.” He’s created five hour-long comedy specials for HBO and Showtime as well.
Want to learn more about this comedy great? Check out his website or catch up with him on Twitter. Or maybe we’ll just see you at the show (which starts at 7:30pm, by the way) for some laughs, all clean and such. Happy chuckling!
