On Tuesday, join William Philpott, author of “Vacationland” for an exploration of Colorado’s tourism culture following World War II. Vouchers are only $5 and can be used toward the purchase of the author’s book on the day of the event. Environmentalists and followers of Colorado culture alike will love this event. Start time is 7:30PM sharp.
Boulder culture has another treat on Wednesday (and this time, the dog lovers can come along). Spend you evening at the Boulder Book Store for an adventure with author Chuck Forsman about his book, “Walking Magpie: On and Off the Leash.” The book chronicles Forsman’s adventures with the family dog (Magpie) in the hills and trails around Boulder and how he turned experience into art. This is also a voucher event ($5) and start time is 7:30PM.
On Thursday, you can come back for a three-peat. It’s more Boulder culture as Boulder Book Store hosts Joy Redstone, Elle Page, and David Page — authors of “Until They Have Faces.” The book tells the stories of 45 homeless people in Boulder and how their lives intersect with various aid agencies. Each story is written by a different local author. This event is free and open to all, so come on down and spend an hour getting in touch with the humanity in our sweet town. Start time is 7:30PM.
