It’s a midterm election year, and your vote is critical as Colorado faces the decision on whom to empower to several critical state seats. Boulder votes — Colorado votes. And this year, whatever your excuse might have been — apathy, feeling as if your vote doesn’t matter, having all you need and loving where you’re at in this life — it’s time for those excuses to take a hike (after all, Boulder LOVES hiking). The polls are waiting and your fellow Coloradans are counting on you to use your voice.
Need to know where to vote tomorrow? Excellent. Click the image below.
If you want a pre-election day primer on all of the ballot initiatives and candidates for each Boulder and State of Colorado office up for decision, we have two articles you can read before heading to the polls tomorrow.
This one discusses the races for Senator and Governor as well as a rundown on all of the ballot initiatives you’ll be a critical part of deciding.
And this one talks specifically about the three key State offices up for election (Secretary of State, Attorney General, and Treasurer).
And for those of you whom have already cast your ballots through the early voting process, your fellow Boulderites and Coloradans thank you. This is our community and it’s up to us to decide — who leads us, what direction our state’s legislature heads in, and who represents our interests in Denver and Washington. And if you’re anything like me and cringe when someone says, “This is a democracy!” <shudder> you’ll get out there and make this democratic republic everything it was meant to be, using a process of the people (the ones who exercise their hard-earned right to vote) for the people (everyone) and by the people (the officials we elect and hold accountable to the community’s wishes).
Thanks in advance. And if you’re feeling especially spirited, share this post because Boulder votes.
